Everton offered £15million rated Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario

Toffees set for big recruitment drive

Marco Silva’s Everton have been offered the chance to sign former West Ham loanee Joao Mario ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Toffees have had a relatively positive season under Marco Silva.

The Portuguese boss joined Everton last summer and has overseen a major squad revamp.

Everton recruited heavily in Silva’s first window, bringing in a plethora of talented players who would go on to be crucial parts of his side.

Lucas Digne has been brilliant, Richarlison has been a revelation and players such as Andre Gomes, Bernard and Kurt Zouma have become fan favourites.

Now, if Everton are to improve upon their 8th place finish this season, they’re going to need another big summer window.

One player who could soon join them is former West Ham loanee Joao Mario.

Mario set for Premier League return?

That is because according to the Daily Mail, Everton have been offered Mario’s services ahead of the summer.

The former West Ham loanee scored two goals and assisted one during his last stint in the Premier League.

However, he returned to Inter Milan following that loan spell.

Though, he’s only featured 20 times for the San Siro outfit, scoring one goal and assisting twice.

Now, he’s been offered out with the Mail reporting he would be available for £15million.

While Everton are one of the clubs he has been offered to, there is no suggestion that the Toffees are actually interested in the midfielder.

Monaco and Porto are two clubs who are supposedly interested in signing Mario.
