Harry Kane’s recovery from injury is continuing to progress well with plans to step up his work over the course of the week.

The Telegraph state:

‘Kane will start training on grass this week and is expected to do some ball work by the weekend, as long as his recovery continues to go to plan.’

Original fears were that Kane would miss the remainder of the season, but the striker is continuing to defy the odds in his recovery.

His celebrations after Spurs’ triumph over AFC Ajax in the Champions League semi-final were a strong indication that he was healing well.

After the game, Kane told BT Sport:

Kane is also expected to be named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the upcoming Nations League.

The World Cup semi-finalists will take on the Netherlands just five days after Spurs’ shot at European glory.

The Independent report that Jan Vertonghen, Harry Winks and Dele Alli are all hopeful of being fit for the Champions League final.

Vertonghen suffered an ankle injury against Ajax but is working hard to regain full fitness.

Alli is also hoping to be back to full health after being withdrawn during Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Everton over the weekend.

The 23-year-old has been showing signs of fatigue over recent weeks.

He was struggling in the warm-up before Everton, according to Mauricio Pochettino.

Meanwhile, following groin surgery, Winks is also ‘very hopeful’ of being back for the final in Madrid.
