Man United provide Romelu Lukaku & Alexis Sanchez injury updates

Will Romelu Lukaku play for Man United again?

Manchester United have provided injury updates on both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez’s ongoing problems during pre-season.

United’s pre-season has been pretty successful so far.

The Red Devils have won every game they’ve played, beating the likes of Tottenham and Inter Milan along the way.

However, two players yet to feature are Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

Alexis suffered an injury during his time at the Copa America with Chile.

Meanwhile, Lukaku has missed pre-season due to his own injury.

The Belgian striker has also been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer.

The latest rumours have suggested Lukaku could join Juventus in a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

Now, Manchester United have provided injury updates on both Lukaku and Alexis ahead of their clash with AC Milan this weekend.

Positive updates for Man United

In a statement on their official website, Man United claim Romelu Lukaku ‘could be in a position’ to start training again.

They also claim that while Alexis Sanchez is back from injury, ‘his fitness will need to be assessed after sustaining an injury while on Copa America duty with Chile.’

Speaking this week, Ole Gunnar Solskjær claimed it was best for Lukaku that he remained at Carrington for United’s trip to face Kristiansund.

“He [Lukaku] got injured so it was best for him to stay home,” Ole explained.

“He wouldn’t have been able to play. He might be able to train in the next few days.”
