Harry Maguire has spent the past two seasons honing his craft with Leicester City.

Maguire has played 76 games across all competitions for the Foxes, scoring five and assisting three.

While Maguire isn’t that outstanding defensively, he is excellent with his feet and taking the ball forward.

The centre-back has demonstrated this on numerous occasions, including at the 2018 World Cup with England where he put on some excellent displays.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United put in a £70m bid for Maguire last week.

United’s 2018/19 was rather poor all round but their defence is an area that certainly needs to be worked on this summer.

The same report from the MEN also declares that Maguire is now a priority target for United this summer.

The MEN cites Newcastle’s £50m valuation of Sean Longstaff as part of the reason Maguire is now a priority.

Furthermore, the Manchester Evening News is also alleging that while Maguire is a priority to bring in, selling Romelu Lukaku is also a priority.

Lukaku sat out United’s open training session at the WACA Stadium on Thursday and worked in the gym instead.

United will face Perth Glory this coming Saturday with the MEN claiming it is unknown if the Belgian will feature in said game.

The club most interested in Lukaku appears to be Inter Milan with it being reported they have made an official approach for the striker.
