The brother of Manchester United star Paul Pogba has today endorsed the Frenchman’s potential move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Zidane returns to Real
Zinedine Zidane made his return to the bench at the Bernabeu back in March.
The former Blancos’ midfielder was reinstalled following failed stints on the part of both Julen Lopetegui and Santi Solari, which led to the capital giants relinquishing their title as European champions for the first time in 4 years, and failing to mount any kind of serious La Liga title challenge to Clasico rivals Barcelona.
And, on the back of Zidane’s reappointment, Real have since made abundantly clear their intentions to overhaul the club’s squad.
As many as 13 players are rumoured to be free to depart the Bernabeu, with the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Marcos Llorente and Raul de Tomas having already been moved on on a permanent basis.
According to Marca, Real Madrid’s mission is to raise €300m in transfer sales, to fund this summers spree & help keep within FFP limits.

In addition, Los Merengues’ board have already splashed out well over 300 million Euro on reinforcements to Zidane’s squad this summer, with all of Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and Eden Hazard having made their way to the Spanish capital.

Pogba eyeing Man United exit
Numerous reports, though, suggest that Real are not yet done spending.
Zinedine Zidane is said to be demanding at least one more star addition to his midfield, with the two players most heavily-linked to this point having been Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba.
The latter, though, is long-thought to have been the no.1 priority of Los Blancos’ boss, with Mino Raiola’s bombshell announcement earlier this month that Pogba is pushing hard for an Old Trafford exit having put Manchester United in a difficult situation:
‘Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes.’
‘Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.’
‘If he plays, he will help Madrid’
And, though, links had gone somewhat quiet over the last couple of weeks, Spanish daily AS reported earlier today that Real’s dismal showing in preseason has seen the Bernabeu hierarchy ramp up their efforts to finally clinch a deal for Pogba, with the Frenchman’s signing now viewed as ‘essential’.
One individual who certainly feels as though the Manchester United star would provide a much-needed boost for Los Blancos, meanwhile, is Pogba’s brother, Mathias.
Speaking in an interview with AS (via Goal), Pogba ensured that his sibling would ‘help any team’ for whom he lines out, adding that the Red Devils’ standout is eventually likely to secure a move to Madrid, if he feels as though the capital giants are ‘the best club for him’:
‘I feel my brother could help any team.’
‘If he plays for Madrid, he will help Madrid.’
‘I always want what’s the best for my brother. If he feels Real Madrid is the best club for him, he will come.’
