Sarri on his way out of Stamford Bridge?
Maurizio Sarri has been in England for just over a year.
Since taking charge at Stamford Bridge the Italian has got Chelsea back into the Champions League, finishing 3rd in the 2018/19 Premier League table.
Sarri also took Chelsea to the League Cup and Europa League final with the Blues coming out on top in the latter.
However, the former Napoli coach is now being heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants, Juventus.
Lampard to take charge of Chelsea?
Sarri’s alleged move to Juventus could not be coming at a worst time for Chelsea.
They are currently banned from signing any players for two transfer windows.
While Chelsea have appealed the ban, the CAS have confirmed the London club have yet to apply for the ban to be frozen.
This means as things stand, Chelsea can’t sign anyone this summer.
With the prospect of not signing anyone for two windows, what top manager would want to take on such a job?
Well, according to the Evening Standard, Frank Lampard is Chelsea’s number one choice to take over.

Rio Ferdinand has also recently spoken about the issue. Ferdinand asserts that Lampard is the perfect choice and that if the ban is upheld, Chelsea cannot look anywhere else:
“He is the perfect choice.
“People talk about experience and what-not but what experience did Pep (Guardiola) have when he went into Barcelona’s first team? He trained the younger kids at the club.
“Frank knows the club and he knows the players and the players will respect him. You can see he can carry himself in a particular way in front of the media and in the football club and he can change things within a season.
“If Chelsea are going to get a ban transfer-wise I don’t think they can look anywhere but Frank if I’m honest. Because he and Jody they know all the kids from 16 upwards. They know what they can all do.” As quoted by the Metro.
